Day 01: ARRIVAL MEDAN - TANGKAHAN
After custom formalities at Medan airport, and then drive to Tangkahan which takes approximately 5 hours. You will cross over the Batang River by local raft or a hangingsbrigde to Mega Inn or similar.
Day 02: TANGKAHAN ELEPHANT TRACKING (B)
After breakfast at the lodge we will go for one hour Elephant trekking to explore a part of the Leuser National Park about 1 hour. Afternoon will be free at your own leisure. You can walk a long the bank of the Buluh river, sometimes you can see thousand beautiful butterflies. Overnightstay.
Day 03: Tangkahan (B)
After breakfast we will make Tubing tour on the River. It takes us to a beautiful waterfall. We take our lunch here and after lunch we will come to a village to see their activities as farmer. We walk back to the lodge. Overnight.
Day 04: Tangkahan - Besitang - Pardomuan-Nauili village (B-L-D)
After breakfast depart to Besitang. We will take Offroadscar to reach Pardomuan Nauli village. Today we will stay at a simple House of a local farmer (simple accommodation: without electrical almost as tents).Accommodation located on the edge of Mount Leuser National Park.
Day 05: Gunung Leuser jungle tour (B-L-D)
Indonesiansbreakfast. We start today full day trekking tour in the border of North Sumatra and Aceh province. We discover the specifics of the tropical rainforest, the roofing of trees is so dense that comes very little light through plant species have developed very different techniques to get enough light. After breakfast, departure to Bukit Lawang (Gunung Leuser National Parks) Past the town Berandan, Tanjung Pura, Stabat and Binjai .On the way stops at: fishermen's village, local market at Tanjung Pura and a Sultan mosque. Accommodation at simple guesthouse Ecolodge in Bukit Lawang...
Day 07: Bohorok (B-L-D)
Today we make a jungle tour in Gunung Leuser National Park again , which houses the most quite Indonesia mammalian species.Gunung Leuser National Park is very famous with: wild Orang-Utans,Presbytis thomasi, black handed Gibbon (Hylobates agilis),the White beard Gibbon (Hylobates albibarbis),which include Siamang (Hylobates syndactylus) and bird species such as the Argus (Argusianus argus) - his ki-au-call is a very characteristic sound in the forests of Sumatra, the Rhinoceros Hombill (Buceros rhinoceros), etc.
on the banks of the Bohorok River we,ll take our lunch box. Overnight at Shelter/Tent.Day 08: Bohorok (B-L)
After simple Breakfast we start to make jungle treeking.
If we ere lucky, we can see free living monkeys and birds.Lunch on the River (swimming).After lunch we back to the Ecolodge by Tubing.
Day 09: Bukit Lawang - Berastagi (B)
The journey to Berastagi leads first back in the direction of Medan. Berastagi is a cool mountain resort which is famous for fruit, flower and vegetables lies about 1.400 meters above sea level. En-route stops at crocodile farm, Velancany church and for a tea break and toilet. Arrival in Brastagi, Visiting fruit market to try the local fruits such as passion fruit, mango, avocado, etc. overnight stay at Grand Mutiara hotel or similar in Berastagi.
Day 10: Sibayak volcano tour (B)
After an early breakfast we climb on the Volcano Sibayak.
From the top of Volcano Sibayak we visit Semangat Gunung village with a sulphur Hotspring. Following drive to hotel. Afternoon it,s time to relax at swimmingspool of Grand Mutiara Hotel. Overnightstay.
Day 11: Berastagi - Ketambe (B)
Today, we leave a province of North Sumatra. It continues to Ketambe in the province of South East Aceh (Aceh Tenggara).On the way we make stops at a school and also oranges, vegetable plantation.In the late afternoon, we reach Ketambe. Accommodation in simple guest house Pak Mus or Frienship .
Day 12: Ketambe (B)
Free program: swimming in the river of alas or walking through villages by motorcycle or just relax in the Guest House.Overnight.
Day 13: Ketambe - jungle tour (B-L)
With a local guide we start trekking through the rainforest jungle a whole day, take good shoes - this is no extreme hike, but no Flip-Flop-tour. There are leeches that can be weheren with long things and mosquito repellent in the Bush. But don't worry: they are neither toxic nor they carry disease and it doesn't hurt also - in other words: it's just a nuisance. If it was sucked, just off flip. The jungle is wonderful. Many great plants, of which it has already heard (e.g. vines, eucalyptus, mahogany), and of which you have never heard. As always in nature: there is not A guarantee to see wildlife. The afternoon is free for bathing in the absolutely clean River. And this is wonderful on the heat (the water nice cool)! At one point on the River, there is a hot spring that smells slightly sulfur. Nature cure! , here we take our lunchbox.In the afternoon we go back previous to the lodge. Overnight.
Day 14: Ketambe - Tongging - Lake Toba (B)
After breakfast depart to Tongging -Lake Toba.On the way we visit Sipiso Piso waterfall and Taman Iman Park for coffee break. Accommodation in the Guest House Sibayak at Tongging. Sibayak guesthouse is located on the shore of Lake of Toba. But a simple accommodation.
Day 15: Tongging-Samosir island (B)
After breakfast we drive to Parapat; On the way we visit the Simalungun batak King palace, Arrival in Parapat, then we cross the lake toba to Samosir island. Check in to your Accommodation on the island Tabo Cottagges or similar.
Day 16-18: SAMOSIR (B)
Free Program but anytime you can use our transport
Day 19: Samosir Island - Pematang Siantar - Medan (B)
We leave Toba, Lake for Medan..In the afternoon we arrive in Medan. City tour with visits to include: Sultan Palace and Mesjid Raya/great Mosque. overnight at Hotel Garuda Plaza or similar.
Day 20: Medan - Airport (B)
End of the programs... Horas...
